How to care for your fresh tattoo – A guide for newbies and ink veterans!
Tattoo done? Great! Now it's time for the protective film.
After your session, we'll apply a special protective film – it might look simple, but it works like magic!
Don't remove it for 3 days
No need to wash, moisturise, or worry about it. During this time, some fluid (plasma) and sweat may collect under the film – it might look like something smudged, but don't worry! This is normal and everything will look great once you remove it.
During these 3 days, avoid:
Long baths
Showers – yes, baths – no
Gym, sauna, and marathons
Sweat can irritate fresh ink
Hot showers
The film may steam up and peel off. Showers are fine, but lukewarm water and gentleness are appreciated.
The film also likes peace, so don't scrub it too hard.
After 3 days – time to say goodbye to the film!
It's best to remove it under running water, e.g., in the shower – don't rip it off suddenly like a movie hero, because it might be... unpleasant. Especially in sensitive areas.
Tattoo without the film? Time for washing and moisturising!
Wash the tattoo with gentle soap – baby soap or intimate wash (seriously, don't laugh!).
Avoid heavily perfumed, colourful products – they can only cause harm.
Pat dry with paper towels or let the skin air dry naturally. Leave regular towels for your face – bacteria are not good friends for a fresh tattoo.

When skin is dry
Moisturise more often
When skin is oily
Less frequent is enough
The rule is simple: more often and thin is better than once and thick.
The skin needs to breathe!
You can buy special tattoo creams at our studio – we recommend the tried-and-tested Indoktor product, which you and your skin will love.
Moisturise for at least 2 weeks after removing the film – this way your tattoo will heal beautifully and retain its colours for a long time.
